The Junior Celtic program has been revamped for the 2017-18 season. The Junior Celtic program focus is to prepare players in the 2010 to 2012 birth years for the Celtic travel program. We have taken a look at what worked previously for the program and what could be improved. We will begin our new Junior Celtic program in the Winter 2017. Our new program will feature:
We have added a solid competition part to the program with the YSSL Developmental league. This aspect was missing in years past as part of the Junior Celtic Program. The players will now be in an organized league and playing against other clubs just as they start to do in travel. We believe the league will be appropriate for our youngest players with limited travel (no more than 45 minutes), good competitive games on Saturday or Sunday, and at least 8 games per season.
Our program will feature practices led by a quality, licensed staff coach from Celtic. The Junior Celtic program will follow a unique Celtic curriculum to develop and prepare our players the best way we know how. It will follow the same principles and philosophy as our travel program does currently. If you are looking for a program that will improve players in every session, Celtic is the place to be for young players.
GOAL: The objective of the Jr. Celtic program is to prepare players born in 2011 or 2012 for the travel program. We believe in a holistic player centered approach where players are challenged to learn their skills while playing in game situations.
REGISTRATION: Registration for the 2017-18 program will open on November 1 with a program start date of Sunday, December 3rd at 9 AM. All players (boys & girls) are encouraged to register. The program will be limited to 24 players for the 2017-18 season. Visit the registration link here.
