ANNUAL GOLF OUTING
Fundraiser
2024
Palatine Celtic SC partnered with Palatine Community Baseball & Softball this year and organized a successful 2024 Annual Golf Outing and Auction Fundraiser. Both Clubs are dedicated to the idea that participating in sports builds the relationships, character, and attitudes which continue to resonate long past the final whistle or last inning. We know this relationship will provide further opportunities for both organizations to continue connecting and developing the young people of the greater Palatine area.

Three teams attended the Las Vegas Mayor's Cup International Showcase in February! The 2007/08 Boys beat teams from Washington, California, Nevada and Honduras to bring home the championship trophy in their 16 team division. The 2009 Girls Black won all three games in their bracket to seed #1 and advance to the quarterfinals. The 2007 Girls Black won #1 seed in their bracket and won the quarterfinals to advance to semfinals. An AMAZING experience for all our Celtic teams playing against top US and international teams!

Celtic Junior Academy focuses on a progressive developmental curriculum for two separate age groups: 3-4 year olds and 5-7 year olds. The 3-4 year old sessions will be 45-minutes of fun, engaging and familiar games. Our goal is to introduce basic soccer skills and spark joy in our little ones to play the game.
The 5-7 year old sessions are 1 hour long and a bit more advanced; designed to focus on technical skills and abilities to help these players establish their confidence and creativity - their "ball mastery."
Our Spring season is a 6 week program that starts on April 2nd. The program is open to all boys and girls born in 2016-2021 (must be 3 by end of each session). Each session is led by our Program Director, Hannah Fuchs (Fox). Through familiar soccer games and athletic activities, players will learn athletic movements and introductory soccer skills, but most importantly will have fun doing it all! Visit our Spring Celtic Junior Academy Page for details.
Spring 2024
The Kinsella Cup is dedicated to Jimmy Kinsella, who, along with Bill Hughes, founded the Palatine Celtic Soccer Club in 1968. Hughes and Kinsella, a transplanted Scotsman, were the first to find a few kids and organize them into teams to play the game of soccer in Palatine. Jimmy named the Club after his home club, Glasgow Celtic.
The Palatine Celtic Soccer Club presents the Jimmy Kinsella Cup twice a year when Palatine and William Fremd HS Boys and Girls Varsity teams face off against each other. The Kinsella Cup is proudly displayed at the victorious high school until the next cross-town match. Many players for both high schools have at one time or another played either Recreational and/or Travel soccer under the Celtic banner. Both Fremd and Palatine have had State High School Champion soccer teams, and numerous players that have continued their soccer careers in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA college programs.
The Spring 2024 Kinsella Cup will take place on Saturday, April 20th at William Fremd High School.
The JV game will kick off at 4 pm and the Varisty game will kick off at 6 PM. ALL Celtic SC players are encouraged to attend the storied rivalry and cheer on our favorite Celtic players as the two sides battle it out for the Kinsella Cup!

November 28th is Giving Tuesday, a global day of generosity unleashing the power of people. It is the opportunity to come together as a community to support the Palatine Celtic Soccer Club. Unfortunately, there are soccer players that are unable to play soccer due to family finances. Palatine Celtic SC believes that every player that wants to play soccer should be able to play. This is the reason we started the Palatine Celtic Scholarship Program. This program enables all players to play soccer. The Palatine Celtic Scholarship Program has already provided for 50+ players with the help of our community!!! We can not do this without the support of our community. Please consider supporting Palatine Celtic Soccer in our efforts to expand our equipment training and to fundraise for the costs of programs for the 2024 season.
